You will be entertained…and at the same
time inspired, challenged and armed with practical
tools to make immediate lasting change that will
add value to your life.
We
all want to be successful, confident and valued,
I have spent 12 years studying what sets successful
people apart, what makes them tick, the simple
things they do on a daily basis to ultimately
achieve outstanding results. My life is positive
and inspired, I am living and building my dream
and I happily share this passion, knowledge and
action with you.
In the 12 years that I have been a member of
Toastmasters International I have learnt many
skills: Leadership, mentoring, judging, competing
and most importantly how to present well. I strongly
believe that being able to present, speak off
the cuff, participate in meetings and assert yourself
are valuable skills that boost confidence, self-esteem
and your ability to communicate.
I have spoken professionally to clients such
as IBM, Telstra, CPA Australia, Network Central,
Results Coaching Systems, Living Now and many
more. I was destined to professionally speak!
I balance this with one on one corporate and private
speaking training, executive coaching and NLP
(Neuro Linguistic Programming) training courses.
Following are a selection of topics I present:
1. The Corporate Edge
Verity empowers and arms corporate Australia with
one of the most valuable skills they can have
– the ability to communicate. Every moment
that you speak you are selling your strengths,
abilities and ideas. Verity works with CEO’s,
executives and managers and challenges them professionally
to not only be at the top of their fields but
also communicate with power, charisma and elegance.
This speech is packed full of tips to help you
become a brilliant speaker. Verity covers confidence,
voice, focus, preparation, planning, and moving
your body. You will feel inspired and confident
that you too can speak at meetings, proposals,
events and socially with competence and ability.
2. Believe in your Path
This speech is about the power of beliefs. I draw
on my skills as a trainer in NLP (Neuro Linguistic
Programming) and through humour and insight you
get the opportunity to pinpoint limiting beliefs
that are holding you back and acknowledge the
positive, wonderful beliefs that are enhancing
your life. This is an inspiring speech, leaving
participants feeling positive and in control of
their destiny.
3. Where am I going?
This speech is very motivating, it teaches a tool
you can use every day of your life. I cover how
goals can shape our lives and create our destiny
and then go through, step by step, how to form
a clear, positive, attainable goal. I use personal
and inspiring stories to emphasize how knowing
where you are going can make a huge impact on
your life. Each person in the audience will leave
with powerful goals set and the knowledge of how
to ensure success at achieving them. This incorporates
the NLP formula for 'Outcomes' and my experience
and process of goal setting as a 'Success Coach'.
4. Blamer, Victim, Rescuer... which
are you?
How do you react when under stress, do you blame
everyone and everything else, do you try and change
the topic and escape notice, do you accept the
blame even though you know it wasn't your fault
or do you retreat into logic and cold calculated
reason? How can you face change, disagreements,
conflict and confrontation and still be you, emotionally
secure and steady? This speech will empower you
with the skill to be true to yourself. Through
stories, experiences and anecdotes you will learn
firstly how you currently deal with stress and
conflict and then find the skills within you to
lead a new empowering way of resolving conflict
- without disfunctional behaviour. Bring it on!
5. The Eloquent Presenter
This is a humorous and interactive speech on presentation
skills. I speak of my own personal experience
in the public speaking realm and incorporate practical
tips on how to present with eloquence. Warm and
encouraging this speech will leave you feeling
enthused and wanting to give it a go. Depending
on group size I will involve the audience to varying
degrees.
6. State of mind.
State control is a tool that is amazingly useful
every day and can be applied any time, anywhere
- in the work place, socially and at home. Why
do we sometimes go from miserable to happy, or
happy and plummet to miserable - and not even
know what changed! I cover the foundations of
what affects our emotions (state) and how they
can then affect the meaning we give to life. We
will go over how you can effectively and quickly
change your state. I take you the audience through
a range of emotional states and leave you not
only feeling vital, powerful and positive but
also with the skills to effect change whenever
you feel the need or desire.
7 . Sense-ational
This speech is founded in NLP and explores the
senses and how we use them to communicate. Though
enhanced noticing skills and lots of fun you will
identify what your preferred sense is - Visual,
Auditory or Kinaesthetic. I outline how you can
recognise what senses your colleagues/family prefer
and how to enhance and develop your senses to
strengthen your communication skills. Light hearted
and practical you will come away with skills to
give you an edge in your communications.
I look forward to discussing with you how I
can best meet the needs of your function.
Regards,
Verity Robins.
Testimonial:
Believe in Your Path
Verity Robins, presented to a sell-out group of
100 women from finance, accounting and business
backgrounds (and one lucky man from the sponsors).
The presentation formed part of the Women in Business
Breakfasts series, run by the Women's CPA Network.
Due to demand, a second breakfast was held and
received another top score.
In particular, I think attendees enjoyed her
real life stories. One attendee noted, 'real life
examples bring the ideas to life'. Verity's presentation
was ‘energetic, humorous and also very thought-provoking’.
Others described the breakfasts as 'inspiring,
entertaining and enjoyable', 'a good opportunity
to re-evaluate my life direction and plan for
the future' and 'makes a positive start to the
day'.
I highly recommend Verity as a speaker.
