Tony
is the founding president of the Hobart Toastmasters
Club, chartered in 1985; in the years since he has
risen to the status of Distinguished Toastmaster
(DTM) and has won the Toastmasters Area (Tasmania)
public speaking competition. He is also a Past President
of the Rotary Club of Glenorchy.
Educated at Brisbane Grammar, Taroona High and
Hobart Matriculation College, Tony is the managing
director of "Association Offices Pty Ltd"
(
www.associationoffices.com.au) an association
management company providing secretariat services
to a number of associations. These include the
Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia
(COSBOA), the Australian Property Institute, the
Institute of Public Administration and the Hairdressing
Federation of Tasmania plus a number of national
organisations in Hobart and Canberra.
Tony is also the CEO of COSBOA (
www.cosboa.org) based in Canberra and was
previously Deputy Chair of COSBOA, National Spokesperson
of the National Independent Retailers Association
and State Director of a political party for over
3 years. Tony is on the board of Mentor Resources
Tasmania (MRT) and was previously involved with
Tas WRAPS and the Employment and Economic bench
marking committee for Tasmania Together.
Tony is also the founder of the Tasmanian Committee
an organisation dedicated to lifting the level
of confidence and optimism within the Tasmanian
community. The Tasmania Committee is responsible
for the "Tasmania….Love this Place"
campaign; it has over 550 members and 250 subscribers.
A family man, owning his own business based in
Hobart and Canberra, he is passionate about Tasmania
and has interests in association management, small
business and politics.
