Competent Leader Manual

Part of the changes to the TMI Educational Program is the introduction of a BRAND NEW manual. The Competent Leadership manual is available now and members can apply for it from July 2006. It contains 10 ‘projects’ but, unlike any other TM manual, members will need to complete a number of tasks for each project. In total, members will need to complete approximately 20 roles – most of which can be completed as part of a typical TM meeting. For example, one project might require you to be the Toastmaster, an evaluator, the timer and the Table Topics master over 4 different meetings.

The new manual is the first step in the Leadership track with the 'old' CL and AL awards being renamed AL Bronze and AL Silver and moved after the new CL award (see diagram below)

CL Path

Copies of the new manual should be obtained from District supplies.

NOTE - the manuals contain minor but important errors on page 76 (the matrix of project requirements). A CORRECT version is available here.
